Boko Haram Kidnaps Dozens More Girls and Women

Boko Haram militants have once again kidnapped dozens of girls and young women in northeast Nigeria, U.S. counter-terrorism officials told NBC News on Thursday. Although the Nigerian government announced a truce with Boko Haram last week, the group refused to confirm the cease-fire and officials believe the abduction Saturday of as many as 60 more girls and young women was a direct response to the government's announcement. The abduction, if confirmed, would be one of the largest since the Islamist militant group kidnapped 276 girls last spring.
